WEEKLY SUMMARY OF NON-ROUTINE ACTIVITY
CITY OF COLLEGE PARK CONTRACT POLICE SERVICE
January 19 – January 26, 2009

1/20    Contract officer observed a suspicious vehicle in the 4800 block Harvard Ave (vacant house) and conducted a field interview.  Suspicious person was checked for open warrants with negative results and SOW.

1/20    Contract officer conducted a traffic stop at 53rd Ave and Lackawanna Street.  The driver was placed under arrest and issued several traffic citations.

1/20    Contract officer conducted foot patrol in the area of Lakeland Park.

1/21    Contract officer responded to a call for service at 4600 block Calvert Road for a report of a breaking and entering.  Incident was verified

1/21    Contract officer observed a suspicious vehicle in the 6200  block Baltimore Ave and conducted a field interview.  Suspicious person (prostitute) was checked for open warrants with negative results and SOW.

1/22    Contract officer conducted a traffic assignment (warm-up initiative) in the neighborhoods of Branchville and Autoville.  8 citations were issued

1/22    Contract officer conducted a traffic assignment (Red Light Enforcement) at Berwyn Road at Baltimore Ave.  4 citations were issued

1/22    Contract officer conducted a traffic assignment (Stop Sign Enforcement) at Edgewood Road at 53rd Ave.  6 citations were issued

1/22     Contract officer stopped a suspicious person in the area of a reported robbery at 52nd Ave at Kenesaw Street.  Suspicious person was checked for open warrants with negative results and SOW.

1/22    Contract officer responded to a call for service at 9800 block Rhode Island Ave for a report of a robbery.  Incident verified and the contract officer assisted the beat officer.

1/22    Contract officer conducted a traffic assignment (Stop Sign Enforcement) at Edgewood Road at 53rd Ave.  7 citations were issued

1/22    Contract officer conducted a premise check (signal 18) in the area of Holy Redeemer School in reference to the suspicious person in the neighborhood.

1/23    Contract officer conducted a premise check (signal 18) in the area of Holy Redeemer School in reference to the suspicious person in the neighborhood.

1/23    Contract officer observed a suspicious vehicle at Hollywood Road at 48th Ave and conducted a field interview.  Suspicious person was checked for open warrants with negative results and SOW.

1/23    Contract officer conducted a traffic stop at Adelphi Road at Metzerott Road.  The driver pulled into the parking lot and fled on foot.  After a brief foot chase the driver was apprehended and placed under arrest for several traffic violations.

1/25    Contract officer conducted speed enforcement at Baltimore Ave at Greenbelt Road.  7 citations were issued.

1/25    Contract officer responded to a call for service at Baltimore Ave at Navahoe Street for a report of a suspicious person.  The suspicious person was located and placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant.
