Important Special Community Meeting – 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 15th, 2009 at the CPW Swim Clubhouse

Neighbors,

The Civic Association is organizing a meeting on June 15th at 7pm at the Swim Club.

1.  Dr. Ann Wylie from the University of Maryland will address the de Pauw Road noise.  It is our understanding that Anna Owens and Joseline Pena-Melnyk have discussed this with Dr. Wylie and the University will address it to the satisfaction of the residents of De Pauw and Gettysburg.  An update will be provided by Dr. Wylie.

2.  Dr. Wylie will discuss the University’s proposal to move the recycling facility to Metzerott Road near the University of Maryland Observatory (across from the System Administration facility).  It is very important that the community be present and engage in this discussion to understand the expected increased traffic and noise. 

3.  WSSC will present plans to replace water pipes in the Woods this summer.
